The beginning of 2025 will see our 3 year election process take place. Every 3 years Unite the Union representatives have to stand for re-elect or members who wish to stand within their workplace can put there names forward to be elected.
Things have change over the last 3 years in the way that elections are conducted, each currently elected rep, who still wishes to remain as a rep will now have to get a proposer and seconder as will anyone wishing to become a new rep.
Branch posts will be decided at a members meeting that will be held on Monday 17th March 2025 at 1830 hrs.
There are certain rules that need to be followed, they are listed below.

The successful candidates will serve a 3-year term starting 1st April 2025.

A strong understanding of Unite the Union rules, Employment Law, and West Midlands Police policies and procedures is crucial to ensuring the best outcomes for our members. This knowledge directly influences our ability to effectively advocate for members rights and interests.

Your nomination must include your full name, roll number, and union membership number, as well as the name, roll number, and union membership number of the person nominating you and the person seconding your nomination. The closing date for nominations is midday 10th March 2025. Any nominations received after this time will not be accepted.
If there is more than one candidate for a position then a vote will take place at the meeting.
